Belarus’ OAO Lidskoe Pivo brewery, based in the Grodno Region, reported a 3% increase in output to 3.824 million decaliters in January-September 2009, a representative in the administration of the company told Prime-Tass.
Beer offering in plastic bottled increased 6.1% to 3.054 million decaliters, in glass bottles decreased 3.9% to 578,000 decaliters and in kegs rose 27.2% to 192,000 decaliters.
Supplies to the domestic market edged up 2.3% on the year to 3.496 million decaliters.
OAO Lidskoe Pivo exports amounted to 171,000 decaliters, up 110% on the year.
Finland’s Olvi Oyj in early October increased its shareholding in the Belarusian brewery Lidskoe Pivo to 87.85% from 51%.
OAO Lidskoe Pivo accounted for 14.4% of the Belarusian beer output in January-September, up 1.3 percentage points on the year.
Olvi plc is one of Finland’s biggest beer and soft drink producers. It operates in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
